2018 Kia Stinger GT Spotted In Sydney
A 2018 Kia Stinger GT was spotted testing in the Land Down Under by CarAdvice reader Neil.
Currently, there are two test Stingers in Australia and the publication is getting several emails a week from readers. So what makes this Glebe sighting so special? The pair of child seats strapped in the rear of course.
When someone mentions the new 2018 Kia Stinger, most enthusiasts will probably think of the 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 engine
and its estimated output of 272kW of power and 510Nm of torque. Mated to an eight-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle-shifters, the new Commodore rival may be able to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 5.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 270km/h.
Sure, the 2018 Stinger is around 160mm shorter than the Commodore, but the wheelbase and width are almost the same. Large enough for this performance sedan to strap in two children’s seats whilst still looking stylish with a black interior and red upholstery.
We can also spot a set of Brembo brakes and the rear-wheel drive vehicle features a mechanical limited slip differential.
So far, we haven’t heard what the 2018 Kia Stinger GT sounds like, but maybe something will pop up as we approach its sale date later this year.
