This is probably the moment future Stinger owners have been waiting for, aside from delivery day, the Stinger's official configuration tool is now up and running on Kia's site. Fans and customers alike can now head on over to the Stinger's build page and create their dream masterpiece.

Those in the States can choose from five different trim levels with the base-level model simply named Stinger. Costing just $31,900 for a 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder powered vehicle, the Stinger delivers a substantial 255 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. One step up is the Premium variant, which also uses the same engine.

Then there are the 3.3L V6 Twin Turbo powered GT, GT1, and GT2 trims. All of them pumping out an impressive 365 hp ad 376 lb-ft of torque.

If you do decide to go with the range topping variant, you'll have six different finishes to choose from with black nappa leather as the only interior option. The Premium version does have a light gray offering, but in exchange there are only fours paint choices.

As with all cars, there are additional accessories one can add on including remote start for $495, puddle lights for $240, a set of $95 mud guards, bumper appliqué for $75 and more.

Feel free to share your completed build below once you've had a go at the Stinger configurator.

I hate how limited the paint option is for the entry-level model. I understand leaving out some special paints, but only offering the Stinger in three colors seems too little.

Agree! I would understand this move from Kia if the price difference between basic model and a higher trim wasn't that big, but $5,200 is too much for one more extra exterior color. So, to get red stinger (for example) you have to pay $38,350 which is $6,450 more than the basic trim level :/

I guess this would be the cheapest way to get the 3.3T. GT trim, micro blue pearl, no options, and it's still $39,250... Do you consider getting AWD? cause if you do the price will go even higher (+$2,200).

Good enough of an excuse for me to consider wrapping it even if that means a partial wrap using colors Kia used in motorsports or even on their concepts. Sometimes all we need is a "blank canvas" of a car to do interesting things, especially when its as cool as the Stinger.

Modifications, wrapping, and painting can be the answer for those who don't like how the basic Stinger looks and at the same time can't afford higher trim level. I'd love to see how Stinger will look with the carbon wrap on it. What do you think guys?

You should be more specific about where carbon wrap is going, the entire car or in specific areas you already have in mind? I'm assuming its the latter and if so some examples will help. As for the former its rare to see full carbon wrapped cars.

I am new here.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the discrepancy between places on the Kia website where it discusses the yellow paint RWD model as the only GT model that has the LSD, and the fact that I can't configure the car in yellow anywhere in the website?

Maybe it is like a special edition? Kind of like how the Soul is available in the dark brown with white roof as a special edition that isn't advertised on the website?

Also I am surprised that the exterior color and model dictate the interior color. I was originally thinking blue exterior with red interior but that's not an option.

Sorry for the confusion.

I think Stinger would look pretty with a wrapped hood, also, I've been thinking about carbon spoiler for my dream Stinger. What do you think about this combination?

Now that you mention it, I don't see yellow as an option even though I could have sword the Stinger was supposed to come in that color. Maybe they're saving it for a later date or there's something wrong with the site...

I thought that Yellow exterior color is going to pop up on the Korean website, but they have the same color options. However, I also found out that Koreans have an option of Brown Nappa leather interior instead of North American Red. In my opinion, it looks even more luxurious, what do you think?

Wow, Brown Nappa leather looks sick. Is there a chance American market will get it later? I'd love to have it in Aurora Black Pearl GT2 Stinger.
