Limited Availability Kia Stinger?

I was checking through the Canadian Kia website and seen this disclaimer at the bottom.

I didn't know that the Kia Stinger would be a limited model? How many units are they planning on making and distributing? Are they referencing that dealers will only get a certain amount of allocations yearly?

I have many questions about this. What are your thoughts, perhaps you could help clear this up for me.

Well that's weird if you ask me because you see brands selling products like this with no limitation on units. On the flip side its a smart way to test the waters and not allocate so many resources on a new product. This is after all a first shot for them in this market. No proven success previously.
I don't think that means it'll be a limited production model, more like supplies will be limited on a first come first serve basis and you may have to wait a while for the next delivery.

yes that's more like it
but even with that being the case, the fact that they have to allocate people and resources to bring certain models to market at a specific date and time, its a lot of variables.
from what I understand, the better a dealership's sales numbers are, the more vehicles they are allocated. So that may limit supply as well, but you'll get one so long as you're patient and maybe even willing to travel a bit for your Stinger.

Very true I have seen how car makers will allocate cars in that way and even choose certain dealers to distribute high performance models. I guess we might see that if Kia releases that performance car they had planned.
Some dealerships are also willing to ship one in from another dealership with the car you want, saving you the drive over.

yes i have noticed that which is great, had a dealer trade done for a friend of mine i was helping buy a car
kia being in a position where they are still finding themselves in the market means these dealer trades should be a very smooth process.
One kink that some people may come across is that dealers won't be willing to make a deal with you if they have to ship it over from another store.
At this point I think some people will want the Stinger more than they want a discount because right now its looking that good to me compare to what else you can get, but I will still wait for reviews to have my final say. Would you for go wanting a discount if it means getting a Stinger sooner?

This is 100% correct. So what I just found out from a District Representative from Kia Corporate is that in California. They will be releasing 10,000 Stingers into the Market Between now and the end of the year.
