Tailgate TSB

There's a problem with rattling for some Stingers near the tailgate area and a technical service bulletin was released in December. The issue number is SA322 and apparently the first TSB fix didn't really work. So now there's a second TSB issued since the first attempt didn't work. Can't seem to get my hands on that document to post here, but it's a good idea to bring your Stinger in for a checkup if you hear rattling.

I was able to find the document so ill share it with you guys. Looks like the suggested fix is some new washers/bolt tightening. Apparently it was only supposed to impact certain VIN numbers but I've seen that the issue seems to be hit or miss across the board. Anyone on here have this issue?

Glad to see the fix is rather easy, almost to the point owners can do it themselves if that was the case. Compared to issues that owners of other new vehicles have had, this is nothing. I have seen how new Mercedes products like the CLA and GLA initially showed up to dealerships and its wasn't impressive, especially being from Mercedes.
Don't think anyone here has posted about this problem yet, aside from me. At least we know it's not a dangerous flaw in the Stinger that could lead to an accident and Kia is pretty good about fixing a problem without being forced to do so via a recall, so that's going to give us a peace of mind about customer service in the future. And it's a simple replacement of the washers and pad.
I've seen on some other forums, owners complaining about this issue, and it's good to see Kia being quick to find a remedy. Imo something as small as a rattle can be infuriating, especially in a brand new car. Hopefully any recalls/problems that arise with the Stinger, are addressed by Kia as quickly as we've seen so far.

For me it has to do with anything safety related or anything that will impact my driving experience a lot. Any minor stuff is usually left to when i have to go in for service anyways, like oil changes.
